CAROL
HARLOW, CFP®
305-274-9001 / Ext. 25
Carol@TheEnrichmentGroup.com
Carol is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner who comes to The Enrichment Group™ with many years of experience in financial services. Originally from New England, Carol graduated from the University of Massachusetts with her BA in sociology in 1978. She returned to college the following year to study accounting. Carol worked for the next 16 years in the banking industry as Controller of Bridgewater Savings Bank and Medway Savings Bank. In 1992 she received a certificate from the National School of Banking at Fairfield University, a graduate level program that provides an in-depth study of today’s community banking industry.
After moving to Miami, Carol began working at The Enrichment Group™ in 1998 as an assistant to Kathie Day. She has had several functions at the company, working first as an administrative assistant, then as technical support, and most recently as staff planner and Investment Committee member.
Carol is an active member of the Everglades Bicycle Club and enjoys riding in tandem with her husband around South Florida on most weekends. They have bicycled in many parts of the United States and Europe together, as well as separately on conventional bicycles. Carol’s experience on the bicycle has taught her the merits of working as a team. When you spend all that time in the saddle with your mate, you have to learn to work together and solve problems together. You also go through lots of adversity in bad weather and tough terrains. After many hundreds of miles of that kind of riding, you learn to manage difficulties as well as the fun times. This spills over into all facets of life, and Carol attributes her “can do” attitude at work to her outside hobby of cycling.

Peter Lowden, CFA

Peter@TheEnrichmentGroup.com
PETER LOWDEN serves as Chief Investment Officer of The Enrichment Group.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, and his area of expertise is investment research, risk mitigation and portfolio management. Peter‘s twenty-two year investment career has included research, analysis, and management of stocks, bonds, commodities, exchange traded funds, hedge funds and fund of funds, and mutual funds.
Peter spent seven years as Vice President of Investments for a Reno, Nevada based comprehensive financial planning firm, managing portfolios and working with financial planners to educate clients and communicate investment strategies.
Peter co-managed a commodity oriented fund of funds, and later created and managed the Alternative Strategies Fund at Ascentia Capital, where he was the Chief Investment Officer. This multi-strategy, alternative mutual fund made use of Peter’s experiences with traditional and alternative investments, as well as his background in both directly managing capital and allocating capital to outside mangers. Peter and his team identified the strategies for the fund, selected the managers, and actively allocated capital to them. He ran the Global Macro and Hedge Overlay investment strategies, which was designed, before the 2008 market crash, to dynamically manage the fund’s overall market exposure. These strategies were successful in moderating downside volatility during the turbulent 2008 – 2009 markets.
Outside of the office, Peter enjoys spending time with family and playing tennis, beach tennis, kite boarding, fishing and skiing.
